- Robin Ray Hocker is a professional family entertainer, speaker, and farmer.
- His career began as a manager with a national retail company for 8 years.
- Robin followed his life’s dream of being a professional clown. He studied the art of clowning at Laugh Makers Variety Arts at Wells College in Aurora, New York.
In 1978 Chester the Clown was created.
- Chester the Clown’s face and name is registered with the Department of Clown Registry
In Buchanan, Virginia.
- Former member of the Board of Advisors of the National Clown and Laughter Hall of Fame, and the International Association for Humor in Motivation and Learning.
- Chester has made national television appearances and hosted his own popular series
“The Fox Kid’s Clubhouse” on KAUT-TV 43 in Oklahoma City.
- He portrayed Ronald McDonald of McDonald’s restaurants nationally from 1992 to 1997.
- Founder and Former Director of the Nationally known “Camp Funnybone” now in its
18th year.
- In 1994, he was awarded a Citation of Congratulations from the State of Oklahoma Legislation for his “Motivation Through Magic” program.
- Also in 1994, he was presented a Proclamation from the Governor stating
October 10th of each year to be “Chester the Clown Day” in the State of Oklahoma.
- In 1996, inducted into the Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals from Oxford, England.
- In 2003, he was the Mater of Ceremonies, for the Billy Graham Crusade “Kidz Gig” in Oklahoma City before an audience of 10,000 people.
- He helped develop the Smiley O’Riley character for Dental Depot Inc. in 2006. The program serves as an outreach and educational tool in schools and day cares.
- He currently owns and manages a company in Piedmont, Oklahoma called Chester’s Party Barn & Farm. His farm has hosted over 100,000 people since opening in 2001. Farm activities include birthday parties, school field trips, cooperate picnics, church outings, etc.. And an annual Pumpkin Patch and Mystery Maze. His company provides entertainment, performers, and equipment for over 500 events annually.
- He is married to his wife, also named Robin who has worked in the educational field for over 30 years and they have two grown children.
